Meet My New Associate, Bernie!

Dachshunds have appeared in almost all of my novels. In my new one, Vera, Or Faith, the titular heroine gets compared to a dachshund several times by her dad. Let’s just say it’s the ultimate compliment as far as I’m concerned.

And a week ago, I got the sweetest dachshund ever. Hailing from Augusta, Georgia, this golf-playing sweetie is fitting into my life perfectly. He already looks at my martini with the same loving eyes as I do.

And as for belly rubs? Here’s Exhibit A.

I’m about to go on my book tour, and I’m gonna miss him so much. I wish some of these venues allowed doxies into the readings. Maybe call ahead and see if you can bring one!
